How did the hand pies look? Did you love the brownies? How many choux did you eat in one sitting? Yes, these are the things I think about. So today, after creating a gorgeous selection of our favorites for a client to send as a new year’s gift, I was given a gift of my own: direct feedback from the recipients of the pastries.

“If you could have dinner with anyone from the past, who would it be?”
This is the question that sparked the conceptualization for our conversation-starting mural.
As we began to throw out names, we realized how unique and different each of our answers were and thought “how cool it would be if they were to all dine together?”.
Using the famous “Last Supper” as a lose inspiration for the piece, we gathered our eclectic bunch of supper guests and commissioned local artist Chady Elias to paint them into a desert scene dining under the night sky.
Adding modern twists to classic characters, Elias allows guests to reimagine these recognizable faces in a different era, and to find and discuss hidden gems and details throughout.
“You notice something else, some new detail, each time you look”.
Diners will notice some spaces left, and to this end, the mural is not, and will not be complete.
Live art events are planned to take place, as Elias adds more guests to the desert dinner, voted on by you, the guest. Who would you like to see next on the mural?
